Son nom signifie litt\u00e9ralement \u00ab&nbsp;l\u2019\u00eele des haricots rouges&nbsp;\u00bb, mais cette \u00eele de la pr\u00e9fecture de Kagawa, la deuxi\u00e8me plus grande de la mer int\u00e9rieure, est aujourd&#8217;hui connue comme<strong> \u00ab&nbsp;l\u2019\u00eele des olives&nbsp;\u00bb<\/strong>. Sur les collines de Shodoshima, entre mer et montagnes, poussent de nombreux oliviers, un paysage rare et presque incongru au Japon. <strong>Ces olives sont r\u00e9put\u00e9es \u00e0 travers tout le pays<\/strong>. Outre l\u2019ol\u00e9iculture, Shodoshima l\u2019\u00e9picurienne produit aussi des agrumes, de la sauce de soja ou encore des nouilles <em>somen<\/em>. L\u2019\u00eele de Shodoshima abrite<strong> <\/strong>la quasi-totalit\u00e9 des oliveraies de l\u2019Archipel. Aussi, le gouvernement japonais d\u00e9cida-t-il de produire sa propre huile d\u2019olive pour la conservation naturelle des poissons p\u00each\u00e9s dans les nouvelles eaux territoriales.  <strong>Shodoshima fut choisie pour la douceur de son climat<\/strong>. La fleur d\u2019olivier est m\u00eame un des symboles de la pr\u00e9fecture de Kagawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">D\u00e9couvrir les oliviers de Shodoshima lors d\u2019une visite de l\u2019\u00eele<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Sur l\u2019\u00eele de Shodoshima, olives, oliviers et oliveraies sont omnipr\u00e9sents, mais certains sites sont incontournables pour tous les visiteurs int\u00e9ress\u00e9s par la culture ol\u00e9icole locale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shodoshima Olive Park, un coin de Gr\u00e8ce au c\u0153ur de la mer int\u00e9rieure du Japon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Au sud de l\u2019\u00eele, <strong>le <a aria-label=\"Shodoshima Olive Park (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.olive-pk.jp\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" class=\"ek-link\">Shodoshima Olive Park<\/a> <\/strong>(\u5c0f\u8c46\u5cf6\u30aa\u30ea\u30fc\u30d6\u516c\u5712, <em>Sh\u014ddoshima Olive K\u014den<\/em>)<strong> est une oliveraie encore en activit\u00e9<\/strong>. Des sentiers sillonnent la colline, o\u00f9 s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8vent quelques b\u00e2timents qui imitent le style grec, dont la r\u00e9plique d\u2019un moulin \u00e0 vent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure s\u2019y prendre en photo \u00e0 cheval sur un balai, en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 <em>Kiki la petite sorci\u00e8re<\/em>. Une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.japantimes.co.jp\/culture\/2014\/03\/06\/films\/live-action-ghibli-remake-delivers-a-new-kiki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">version en prise de vues r\u00e9elles<\/a> du roman d&#8217;Eiko Kadono&nbsp;\u2014 notamment c\u00e9l\u00e8bre gr\u00e2ce au film d&#8217;animation du studio Ghibli, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Hayao Miyazaki&nbsp;\u2014 a en effet \u00e9t\u00e9 tourn\u00e9e \u00e0 Shodoshima. Des balais sont mis \u00e0 disposition des visiteurs gratuitement.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Le parc pr\u00e9sente aussi un petit mus\u00e9e, un magasin sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9, deux restaurants et une auberge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019olivier mill\u00e9naire de Shodoshima<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">L\u2019\u00eele de Shodoshima abrite \u00e9galement <a aria-label=\"un olivier mill\u00e9naire (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/taijyu.shl-olive.co.jp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" class=\"ek-link\">un olivier mill\u00e9naire<\/a>, qui fait face \u00e0 la mer int\u00e9rieure de Seto. Il impressionne par son tronc large et noueux et son allure de vieux sage. Mais comme l\u2019histoire des olives \u00e0 Shodoshima n\u2019a qu\u2019un peu plus d\u2019un si\u00e8cle, cette arbre v\u00e9n\u00e9rable ne saurait en \u00eatre le t\u00e9moin. Elles sont press\u00e9es pour donner de l\u2019huile d&#8217;olive, mais elles parfument aussi le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/olivefedwagyu.jp\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" class=\"ek-link\">b\u0153uf Wagyu de Sanuki<\/a><\/strong>, nourri aux olives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">L\u2019\u00e9levage bovin est pratiqu\u00e9 ici depuis la p\u00e9riode antique. Les fermiers de Kagawa furent les premiers, dans les ann\u00e9es 1880, \u00e0 engraisser les b\u0153ufs. Dans les ann\u00e9es 2000, Masaki Ishii, un \u00e9leveur d\u00e9sireux de limiter les d\u00e9chets agricoles et d\u2019affiner les go\u00fbts de la viande, d\u00e9cida d\u2019<strong>engraisser les bovins avec des r\u00e9sidus d\u2019olives r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9s apr\u00e8s la pression<\/strong>. Les b\u0153ufs sont nourris \u00e0 la <strong>pulpe d\u2019olive press\u00e9e<\/strong>, donn\u00e9e en compl\u00e9ment nutritionnel. C\u2019est ainsi que Shodoshima est pass\u00e9e \u00e0 <strong>une agriculture plus verte, bas\u00e9e sur le recyclage des d\u00e9chets industriels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Ensuite, le fumier des bovins engraiss\u00e9s \u00e0 la pulpe d\u2019olive b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie aux oliviers. <strong>Entre l\u2019\u00e9levage et l\u2019ol\u00e9iculture, c\u2019est donc tout un cycle agricole qui se met en place, vertueux, respectueux de l\u2019environnement et de l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me local.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Cette technique d\u2019engraissement donne \u00e0 la viande des saveurs particuli\u00e8res, dues \u00e0 la <strong>forte teneur en acide ol\u00e9ique<\/strong> de la pulpe d\u2019olive. Le quartier de Hishio no Sato rassemble des producteurs de <em>tsukudani<\/em>, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des usines de sauce soja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les nouilles somen <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Une autre sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 r\u00e9put\u00e9e de Shodoshima sont <strong>les <em>somen<\/em><\/strong>, des nouilles de bl\u00e9 fines et soyeuses. Le berceau de ces nouilles se trouve dans la pr\u00e9fecture de Nara, mais on raconte que des habitants de Shodoshima auraient d\u00e9couvert les <em>somen<\/em> et rapport\u00e9 leur technique de production au retour d\u2019un p\u00e8lerinage au sanctuaire d\u2019Ise, \u00e0 la fin du <strong>16<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle<\/strong>.
