Morioka<\/strong>\u00a0(Iwate Prefecture<\/strong>) isn’t exactly famous for its sight-seeing spots, but every time I tell a Tokyoite that I live in Morioka their second phrase (after “it’s cold there!”) is either “wanko soba<\/strong>“, “reimen<\/strong>” or “jajamen<\/strong>“.
