Cedars, maples, and <strong><em>hinoki<\/em> <\/strong>&#8211; the cypresses &#8211; spread over an area of \u200b\u200b75,000 m<sup>2<\/sup>, providing us with a magnificent palette of changing colors, green, yellow, orange, and red.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/voyapon.com\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-32711\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-32711 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/voyapon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/daikozenji-4-281x500.jpg\" alt=\"Daikozenji Temple (\u5927\u8208\u5584\u5bfa) in Saga Prefecture, established in the early 9th century\" width=\"281\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Check out the architecture of <strong>Daikozenji Temple<\/strong>, with its thatched roof, which resembles\u00a0<strong>Kunenan House<\/strong>, also located in Saga Prefecture. However, it was not until the 1950s that the Daikozenji began to attract visitors to admire their flowering, receiving the nickname &#8220;temple-azalea&#8221; in Japanese (<strong>tsutsuji tera<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<h2>Take an Autumn Tour of Daikozenji<\/h2>\n<p>As you climb the steps leading to <strong>the top of the mountain<\/strong>, you will discover views that delight the eye.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/voyapon.com\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-32712\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-32712\" src=\"https:\/\/voyapon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/daikozenji1-281x500.jpg\" alt=\"Daikozenji Temple (\u5927\u8208\u5584\u5bfa) in Saga Prefecture, established in the early 9th century\" width=\"281\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just behind the sacred buildings, in a valley,<strong> zen wooden houses<\/strong> are erected on terraces. Small streams flow into basins where <strong>koi carp<\/strong> abound. A special bus then connects Kiyama Station to <strong>Daikozenji<\/strong>\u00a0for about 10 minutes. It is in service only during the full bloom season of azaleas (late April-early May) and during the blooming\u00a0of maple leaves (November 18-27).<\/li>\n<li><strong>By car:<\/strong> Daikozenji is 5 minutes from the Sonobe IC interchange on Route 17, and 15 minutes from Kyushu Expressway Tosu IC or <strong>Kyushu Expressway Chikushino IC<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prices:<\/strong> 500 yen for adults (300 yen for children)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Need Help?
