Known as one of Japan&#8217;s premier\u00a0<strong>samurai towns,<\/strong>\u00a0Saiki may be worth a visit on your next trip to the prefecture.<\/p>\n<h2>Getting to Saiki<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need to take the <strong>H73 bus<\/strong>\u00a0bound for Ootemae (<em>\u5927\u624b\u524d\u30d0 \u30b9\u4e57\u308a\u5834<\/em>), which picks up at a bus stop directly in front of Saiki Station. This mix of the beauty of Japan and its different traditions and cultures makes it a special destination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">I saw very few cars passing during my visit. Using your imagination and all your senses you can paint a vivid portrait of the\u00a0<strong>times of the samurai<\/strong>. Shiroyama<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> in the background, which gives the walk even more charm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">If you take a closer look at the architecture, you will notice the precision and beauty of it all. I found the roofing especially interesting, as shown in the photo below. You can start your hike with a beautiful climb at the center of the forest. The air is fresh during Japanese summer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The area is also known as a popular sightseeing spot for <strong>cherry blossoms<\/strong>, and holds <strong>an annual spring festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Far from a beaten path, a trip to <strong>Saiki Castle Ruins<\/strong> will make Japanese cultural enthusiasts delighted, especially those who are interested in the samurai period.
