Yesterday, due to a sudden change of venue I found myself having lunch (and beer) at Mein Schloss Brewery and Restaurant in Hamamatsu.<\/p>\n

Service:\u00a0Friendly, smiling and willing to please.
\nEquipment and Facilities:\u00a0Very clean overall. Superb washroom. Entirely non-smoking!
\nPrices:\u00a0Reasonable.
\nStrong points:\u00a0Home-brewed beer, great variety in pub grub. Convivial.<\/p>\n
<\/a>The sign just outside Hamamatsu JR Station<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Mein Schloss means \u201cMy Castle\u201d<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Very skitch, but oh well<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n At least the opening hours are plain and easy to understand<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The brewery’s two-month schedule and menu outside are easy to check<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Grand gate<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Beer garden in use during the weekends<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Entirely non-smoking, this is a big plus<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Have a good look at all the displays inside<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n One can check their menu without entering<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The beer brewed on site and they do not sell bottles as everything has to be drunk inside<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The restaurant staff are ever so smiling and helpful<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n A different kind of welcoming staff!<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Everything is brewed on site<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n More displays<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Beware the guards!<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The restaurant and brewery’s large space overhead, and more displays<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Pizza oven, plenty of food on the menu for any taste<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Great collection of beer jugs along the walls<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Worth a second good look<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The hall can hold no less than 850 guests yet the brewery is completely booked from time to time<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Useful beer card<\/p>\n The brewery and restaurant establishment has been producing 4 regular beers and seasonal ones since their foundation in March 1997. They also serve schnapps, cocktails, Japanese sake, shochu, spirits, wine and soft drinks during lunch and dinner.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n For the collectors<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Alt Beer<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The restaurant has some good, reasonable lunch sets<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Deep-fried oysters with plenty of salad, a specialty more Japanese than German<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n I found these oysters and tartar sauce very tasty and great with the beer<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Good value!<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Weizen Beer<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Munchner Beer<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Nice cheese plate to help with the fourth beer<\/p>\n
