Noda<\/strong> is a small city north of Tokyo in Chiba prefecture easily accessible by train from Tokyo<\/strong> and is known as \u201cthe city of soy sauce\u201d because of the city\u2019s longstanding relationship with the soy sauce industry. It is the home of Kikkoman, the world’s most recognizable name in Japanese soy sauce<\/strong> (called shoyu<\/em> \u91a4\u6cb9 in Japanese), and a host of historical buildings dotting its downtown.
