The list of flower-centered attractions is long: pink <a class=\"ek-link ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/voyapon.com\/kyushu-sakura-blossom-oita\/\">sakura blossoms<\/a>, orchards of <a class=\"ek-link ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/voyapon.com\/japan-spring-peach-blossoms\/\">peach blossoms<\/a> in Yamanashi, deep pink flame flowers at the <a class=\"ek-link ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/voyapon.com\/chichibu-shibazakura-flower-festival-near-tokyo\/\">Shibazakura Festival in Chichibu<\/a>, and <strong>Nemophila<\/strong> <strong>at the Hitachi Seaside Park<\/strong>. But <strong>this ticket included the entrance fee to the park<\/strong>, so we saved a few yen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nemophila: A Blue Ocean of Flowers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Hitachi Seaside Park is known for its numerous seasonal flower attractions<\/strong>, which is why it makes sense to visit it in different seasons. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nemophila\" class=\"ek-link\">Nemophila<\/a> blooms from mid-April to early May<\/strong>, when <strong>around 4.5 million flowers<\/strong> transform a large part of the park into a <strong>sky-blue sea of flowers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" were shining <\/strong>and invited us to pause to enjoy them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery <strong>Nemophila<\/strong>, which greeted us only a few hundred meters away,<strong> covering the hills in a soft blue hue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" The majority of flowers are the <em><strong>Nemophila menziesii<\/strong><\/em>, the most well-known representation of its genus with a <strong>light blue color<\/strong>. One of them was a cute <strong>Nemophila ice cream<\/strong>, a delicious snack on this hot day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Amusement Park and Event Area\u00a0at the Hitachi Seaside Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Hitachi Seaside Park<\/strong> is not only a destination for flower lovers, it was also the setting for a <strong>major music festival until 2019 \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/rijfes.jp\/2022\/info\/2212\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"ROCK in Japan (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" class=\"ek-link\">ROCK in Japan<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-8 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" data-id=\"65259\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.voyapon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/25222702\/Nemophila_11.jpg\" alt=\"&quot;ROCK in Japan&quot; at the Hitachi Seaside Park.\" class=\"wp-image-65259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/s3.voyapon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/25222702\/Nemophila_11.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/s3.voyapon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/25222702\/Nemophila_11-500x375.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption><em>Until 2019 \u201cROCK in Japan\u201d was taking place here.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The information about \u201cROCK in Japan\u201d is displayed everywhere in the park except in the <em><strong>Pleasure Garden<\/strong><\/em><strong>, which is a kind of amusement park <\/strong>with some attractions for the little ones. But children are not the only ones who can enjoy this area. We were also excited about many of the attractions, as well as the <strong>bicycle rental shop<\/strong>. But instead of taking the free shuttle bus that would take us back to <strong>JR Ajigaura Station<\/strong>, we decided to walk back, which takes around 20 minutes nonstop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were walking on a path right next to the Pacific Ocean, an opportunity we didn\u2019t want to miss. So, we made a <strong>short detour to the beach<\/strong>. In addition, there are <strong>small shrines <\/strong>that radiate a cozy atmosphere, you can end the day relaxing at the <strong>Ajigaura Nozomi Onsen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the day, one thing was clear to us: we will definitely visit the <strong>Nemophila<\/strong> again during their peak season and spending more time in the park and surrounding area.
