Visitors to Harikurayama Eirin Temple will be amazed by the collection of over 100 sculptures and paintings by Ishikawa Uncho, the "Michelangelo of Echigo," who stayed at the temple for 13 years during the late Edo period. Make sure to appreciate the impressive works by Uncho, especially the unique "Cloud Butterfly" carvings. Admission fee is required, but remember that photography is not allowed inside.
