 Tips about Tsurugi Station

Tsurugi Station is a quaint but old terminal station on the Hokuriku Railroad Ishikawa Line. Visitors can enjoy the retro feel of the station building with clapboard walls and explore the nearby Shirayamahime Shrine, which is about 2.5 km from the station.

Recommendations:
- What to do: Visit the nearby Shirayamahime Shrine, the head shrine of all Hakusan shrines.
- What to eat: No prominent commercial facilities at the station, so consider bringing your snacks or trying local delicacies in the area.
- What to avoid: Using new banknotes for payment as they are not accepted on the train (as of January 2025).
- Tips: Purchase round-trip tickets at the beginning of the year that include a bus to Hakusan Hime Shrine for a good deal. Be aware that the train only accepts cash payments after boarding, and IC cards cannot be used.
