How ONE PIECE Got Its Start
It has been 19 years since ONE PIECE began in the weekly comic, Shonen Jump. Since that year of 1997, the anime series has set numerous records, garnered major publicity and gained popularity all over the world. This summer, the highly-anticipated latest cinematic installment in the franchise will finally be released, after a long wait of 3 and a half years.
The author, Eiichiro Oda, served as the film’s executive producer – as he did with the previous features – to bring fans the greatest in the movie series since the previous ONE PIECE FILM STRONG WORLD and ONE PIECE FILM Z.
The Film Adaptation: Story Telling at its Finest
Set in Grantesoro, an independent country chartered by the World Government, home of the world’s greatest entertainment city where well-known pirates, Navy soldiers, and millionaires throughout the world gather in an “absolute sanctuary” that even the World Government can’t touch.
There, Luffy and the others meet the ruler of the country, the golden emperor Guild.Tesoro who easily wins pirates, the Navy, and even the World Government over to his side with money. He is about to take action to satisfy his bottomless ambition which may result in major changes in power relationships in the New World…
