Japan is well known for its advanced technology and historical culture, however Japan has about 70% of their land in the mountains, so there are great hiking or climbing trails while enjoying the great sceneries as waterfalls, forests, and  more than 100 active volcanoes, more than almost any other country and accounts alone for about 10% of all active volcanoes in the world.
