Food

In Japan, there are many restaurants that cater for various budgets. For example, high-end sushi restaurants like Sukiyabashi Jiro or Kyubei can cost over 20,000 yen per meal, but you can also enjoy an array of sushi at kaiten sushi (revolving sushi) restaurants. Izakaya are also common spots for dinner where people can enjoy small tapas and reasonably priced draft beer. Japan also has a lot of chains serving soba, udon, tendon, gyudon, and a whole host of family restaurants which offer a spectrum of dishes for very affordable prices. For food to go,  you can pick up many choices at konbini and the supermarket.
