Enoshima Island, just an hour train ride from Tokyo, has an incredibly rich history and many things to see, do and eat. Its cultural significance is not lost on the local population, as it sees many visitors from around Japan throughout the year. One of the more popular destinations is the Enoshima Iwaya Caves. Located along the south-western coast of the island, the caves are definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the history and culture of Japan. It can be accessed quickly via a short boat ride from the mainland, or you can walk around the island and enjoy more of Enoshima along the way.
